This beautiful logo was designed by Aroha Mitchell for Literacy Aotearoa and its member organisations and the concept of the design is:

• The Koru which depicts growth, knowledge and lifelong learning.
• The Whariki(weaving) which depicts bringing people and learning philosophies together.
• It also depicts sharing knowledge. The open book invites people to enjoy learning.
• The circular sweep depicts the world encompassing and supporting the growth of knowledge.
• Ranginui (the sky) and Papatuanuku (the earth) are depicted in the colours of blue and green.
